Entering the living you will be captivated by the 20-foot ceilings, wall-to-wall impact glass windows facing north towards the pool and garden. Numerous unique windows invite an abundance of natural light while ensuring privacy.
The home faces west on Solana Road in a neighborhood with lush and shady oak trees, flaming royal poincianas (from May to August), bougainvilleas and other tropical foliage. Shady walks are guaranteed even in the heat and humidity of summer.
View of the interior from the front door with bamboo floors throughout, the living room on the left (with 20-foot ceilings) and the dining room to the right. Numerous unique windows and skylights ensure natural light and privacy.
The high ceilings and walls leave ample space for artwork. In cooler months, the sliding impact glass doors open wide for light breezes and the sounds of birds and water. It's a great space for entertaining and dancing with a bar that is a fixture on the left side. There is also an updated fireplace in black marble on the east wall.
The living room faces north, so the hotter, direct sunlight spares the living room and the interior temperatures are easier to control in the summer.
This is a photo from a past summer showing the royal poincianas in bloom. They are flaming red usually from May to August and then quite lush and green until early February before going bare for a few months before flowering again.
View of the dining room looking towards the entrance with the living room to the right, the stairwell straight ahead. To the left of dinning room is entrance to kitchen and family room. There is a 1/2 bath in the circular cement structure in the center and a glass impact skylight above allowing indirect natural light.
This view shows the rear of the home from the garden. The windows are custom-made impact glass. The exterior was freshly painted in April.
This is a photo from behind the pool on the north end of the property looking southeast with lush oaks and royal poincianas to the right. There is a 7-foot cement wall surrounding the garden and separating the property from neighboring homes to ensure privacy.
Different view of pool area looking northwest with royal poincianas, oaks and bouganvillas (not in color due to season and recent rain). The walls are planted with vines (and orchids hung on one wall that start to bloom this month). The cement wall is 6-8 feet around the garden area ensuring privacy. The granite outdoor tiles were installed a few years ago and were recently pressure cleaned and resealed.

Pool area view at night. Garden lighting and lit pool make it inviting to dine al fresco or lounge outdoors under the stars.
Spacious kitchen as you enter from the dining room door with the family room to the left. Kitchen features ample counter space and storage with drawers with high-end appliances and a gas oven top.
Another view of the kitchen looking south with windows that maintain privacy while you can enjoy the view of the lush surroundings.
View in the kitchen of appliances looking east towards the family room opening outside to the orchid wall (which starts blooming in mid-February). Appliances include: Miele dishwasher, Subzero refrigerator/freezer and wine cooler and Wolf stove/hood, oven and microwave/convection oven.
The family room is off the kitchen with sliding impact glass doors opening to the east side of the house (there is an orchid wall which leads to the garden and pool to the left). The laundry room door is to the center left also leads to the full 2-car garage.
View of stairwell leading to the second floor bedrroms and baths. The glass block wall allows natural but filtered light from the west side of the house. The 1/2 bath is to the right.
Glimpse of the 1/2 bath on the 1st floor off the dining room.
This view of the living room at the base of the stairwell also shows the bar fixture to the rear left. The bar was designed for the space by the same designer who oversaw the kitchen.
The primary bedroom is on the south end of the 2nd floor and quite large including a walk-in closet and en suite bathroom. The door to the left leads to a small balcony facing east. Again, lots of indirect natural light.
View from the back of the bedroom looking towards the entrance and the primary bath in the rear. A side door to the walk-in closet is to the left.
Master bedroom view looking to the north with the hallway to the left and balcony door to the right.

The primary bathroom viewed from the entrance with an oversized bathtub, separate walk-in shower and his and hers sinks and large linen closet to the left. There is also a door to the left that leads to a private toilet.
Double sinks in the primary bathroom. Double impact windows which open on the west wall provide a nice breeze during cooler months. There is also an impact resistant skylight above providing natural light.
Deep walk-in closet on the west side of the master bedroom.
Hallway on the second floor facing north with glass block windows in front of the stairwell allowing ample natural light to both levels. There is a second impact resistant skylight in the hallway allowing more natural light to the second floor.
Second bathroom which was designed simultaneously with the primary bathroom. The shower is to the left.
This is the second bedroom which is also quite roomy, has a smaller walk-in closet also built out with drawers and shelving. The room faces east and receives direct morning light.

The third bedroom is currently used as an office. It has a good-sized closet with built-in shelving behind the double-sliding doors to the left.

The ample 2-car garage features a hurricane-resistant door, newer water heater (1/2024), and storage cabinetry in the rear and extra shelving. The garage leads to the laundry room and then on to the family room.

Drone shot of Biscayne Bay and marina in Coconut Grove walking distance from the home. Despite the proximity of the Bay, the house is not in a flood zone and sits on a small ridge running through parts of the Grove and Brickell. You can see the dense tree canopy the Grove is famous for providing shade for walking even in the summer.
Second drone shot from above the house showing the Grove condos along South Bayshore and Brickell and Downtown Miami further north. Top private schools are all along this route and great public schools are to the left and even closer. It is a beautiful drive to Downtown. The Metro is also available at Douglas Station.
